Jim Mooney, father of Supergirl

After an introduction to Jim Mooney from Dan Best, I was sent some drawings and missed one in the envelope, so I just inked it. Jim said it was his most popular pose, and I aggree, it is nice.
I inked this with 100% brush, W&N series 7 #2.
It is always a joy to ink the great artists of the early years. And Jim is a wonderful guy to boot.

Batman Number 1 Recreation

I like doing these recreations because they are fun. The tough parts are when you letter by hand and trying to see the actual lines they put down from the original cover.

I went line for ine to reproduce it as acurate as I could to see how Bob Kane drew it originally.

Anyway It is done and I have to finish up FMC and Shylock now that my scanner is here.

Here is a quick recreation of Batman's first Comic appearance by Bob Kane. I drew it from the cover and lettered freehand because I couldn't find the fonts yet.

Maybe I will do it again sometime. I like redoing the cool covers.
